Mrs Mulholland was delayed for 6.5 hours with Jet2 and received €800 compensation!

I was heading back from a holiday with my husband, travelling with Jet2 from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to East Midlands. We were notified of the delay when we arrived at the airport. A Jet2 representative told us there had been a couple of technical issues with the plane. I do want to add here that Jet2 were brilliant handling the delay. We got regular updates, they also made an announcement to let us know when our plane was finally approaching the airport. So as annoying as the delay was they were very helpful. A Jet2 representative also gave my husband and I an €8 voucher each to spend on food and drinks at the Airport while we waited. Our flight was due to take off at 7.20 PM, we ended up boarding at 2.30 AM!

My car was parked in the long stay car park at East Midland airport, of course, with the delay, I went over my time limit and had to pay an extra £10.

A few days after I got back home I was telling my neighbour about our holiday and the delay on our return flight. She told me I should try to claim flight delay compensation from Jet2 airline.

I had a quick look online, and found Air Delay on a Google search. I should point out that I am not very computer literate! Luckily the website was so easy to use. I submitted a compensation claims for me and my husband, in just a few minutes. I am incredibly happy with the service I received from Air Delay, Alex was brilliant. I got regular email updates about the status of my claim, then after just a couple of months I received a cheque in the post for a grand total of £635. I shall be using this to pay for another holiday!
