Mr & Mrs Mitchell was delayed for 10 hours with First Choice Airways and received €1200 compensation!

My husband and I were travelling, with Frist Choice, from Glasgow to Cancun on holiday, this was in 2010. We got to Glasgow airport and were told that our flight was going to be delayed, at this point we were just told it was a technical problem and that it was delayed for one hour.

We did get regular updates, but only telling us that the flight was delayed for a further two hours, then for a further hour, this happened a few more times until we were told that they had to get another plane in for us for the long haul flight. This plane had to be brought from Manchester. In the end we were delayed for over ten hours! We were given a £5 food voucher to spend while we waited!

The early in 2016 I saw an advert flash up on my computer screen about claiming for flight delay compensation on a no-win no-fee basis and thought I have nothing to lose and I would give it a try. I keyed in the flight details and submitted my claim. The Air Delay customer service was excellent. As the flight had been several years ago I had input incorrect flight information. An Air Delay representative called me and spent some time on the phone with me verifying the flight details.

Just a couple of months later I received my compensation cheque, one claim for me and one for my husband. We were awarded a total of €1200, Air Delay took their 25% fee from this compensation. This compensation will be put towards our next holiday!

I would definitely recommend Air Delay to family and friends, they were brilliant to deal with, very helpful making sure my claim was submitted correctly and won me the compensation I was entitled to!
